As a part of SGH for Ukraine program, we support our Ukrainian students and their families. Together with Humanosh Foundation we’re fundraising to provide all necessary help for them. SGH signed the agreement with the Foundation to support refugees and immigrants arriving to Poland.

In this year’s “Perspektywy” ranking, SGH Warsaw School of Economics once again was named the best economic university in Poland. SGH’s Finance and Accounting also took the top spot in the category of economic programmes. In the general university ranking, SGH was ranked at 11th place. The ranking was prepared by “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation.

Prof. Piotr Wachowiak, Ph.D., was elected Rector of SGH Warsaw School of Economics for the 2020-2024 term. He is the current Vice Rector for Research and Management and the Head of Institute of Management at SGH.

The results are in and there can be no doubt that SGH is the best economic university in Poland, according to the newest ranking by a prominent Polish journal “Rzeczpospolita”. The second and the third place on the podium went to economic universities in Poznań and Katowice, respectively. Among the non-economic institutions, the University of Warsaw ranked the highest.

The Financial Times presented the list of top 95 graduate business schools in Europe based on its 2019 rankings. The list comprises results of European business schools in the newspaper's MBA, EMBA, Masters in Management and Executive Education rankings. The result in each of the rankings results the final rank of a business school in the FT list published in December every year. In 2019 SGH was ranked 69th. ”SGH Warsaw School of Economics has the highest average pay rise across our five main rankings at 122 per cent, calculated from the published figures”.

On October 28, The Financial Times published the „Masters In Management” ranking. Two programmes offered by SGH were once again named among the world’s top 100 programmes. CEMS Master In Management, which is co-administered by SGH – the only Polish economic university allied within CEMS – moved up to the 8th place. The other SGH’s Management programme was ranked at the 58th spot.

In September, 2019 business situation in the manufacturing industry slightly deteriorated. The industrial confidence indicator (ICI) monthly fell by 0.2 pts to -10.6 pts, and is now 10.6 pts down from the respective year 2018 figure.
