SGH Warsaw School of Economics is finalising the agreement on establishing Master Double Degree Programme with Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Université Laval for students of Global Business, Finance and Governance (in Polish and in English).
The double diploma program from Université Laval (ULAVAL) will be launched for the first time in the academic year 2019/2020 under the agreement on the establishment and implementation of the double diploma program in the field of master's studies in the following fields:
- at SGH
- Global Business, Finance and Governance [in English]
- Global Business, Finance and Management (Governance) [in Polish], and
- at ULAVAL:
- Global Business [in English]
- Gestion Internationale (International Management) [in French]
- Gestion des entreprises (Business Management) [in French].
Double degree students will spend their first year of study at their home university, and the second year at the host university. In addition to the obligatory activities specified in the contract, the MDDP student is required to write a Master's Thesis at SGH worth 20 ECTS and an Integrative Project worth 6 ULaval credit points (= 12ECTS). Master's Thesis is written under the supervision of the SGH promoter and evaluated by a reviewer from ULaval. The Integrative Project is written under the supervision of the ULaval promoter and evaluated by a reviewer from SGH. Partner universities provide legal and organizational pre-requisites allowing the student to start writing a Master's Thesis at the second year of study; the language of writing work is English or French. An element of fulfilling the Master's Thesis requirement is its defence, to which members of the host institution shall be invited.
On the basis of successful completion of the MPPD, the student obtains the following professional titles: at SGH – Magister in Globalny Biznes, Finanse i Zarządzanie (Governance) or Master in Global Business, Finance and Governance, in ULaval – MBA Global Business, MBA Gestion Internationale or MBA Gestion des entreprises. After completing the MDDP, the student also receives two diplomas, two transcripts of grades and supplements to diplomas, containing detailed information on the rules, regulations and credit transfer mechanism in the MDDP.
